IHSA Announces Postseason Pairings

The Illinois High School Association has announced the postseason pairings for spring sports with Huntley’s baseball team receiving a top-seed in the Huntley Regional. The Red Raiders will face the winner of the game between No. 4 seed Jacobs and No. 5 seed Rockford Jefferson on Wednesday, May 25 at 4 p.m. A Huntley win in that game would send them to the championship game on May 28 against either No. 2 seed Dundee-Crown or No. 3 seed DeKalb.

Huntley’s softball team is the No. 2 seed at the Rockford Jefferson Regional and will face third-seeded Crystal Lake South on May 25 at 4:30 p.m. and could play top-seeded Jacobs in the championship game May 27 at 4:30 p.m.

The Huntley girls soccer team will begin their attempt at a state title on May 17 at 4:30 p.m. as the top seed in the Rockford Jefferson regional, facing fourth-seeded Larkin with the winner taking No. 2 seed DeKalb or third-seeded Rockford Jefferson on May 20 at 4:30 p.m.

The Red Raiders boys tennis team will take part in the Larkin Sectional on May 21 while the boys track team will be at the Rockford Guilford Sectional May 20 and the girls track team will be the host school for their sectional on May 13. The full pairings are listed below for each sport….
