Introduction to Writing Children's Books
Is there a best-selling children's book inside of you just waiting to be written? Is 2014 the year you finally write that children's book? This two hour seminar is an overview of the process from first words to illustrations to publisher's considerations, followed by an extended Q&A period. Held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 1 - 3 pm, the event will be led by local author and Judson University professor Janet Riehecky.Janet Riehecky has written more than 115 books for children, is a communications professor at Judson University in Elgin, IL, plus a popular presenter of school and library literacy events. Riehecky's ability to communicate the joy of writing to children during school visits often incorporate her experiences as both a dinosaur hunter and magician, and her extensive writing resume guarantees a fun and informative event for attendees.
