
A burglar is apparently getting ready for warm weather, stealing a solar bug zapper for mosquitoes from a Huntley home, according to reports.
The victim reported someone took the bug zapper from his backyard in the 11500 block of Barberry Lane sometime April 2.
No word if police have any leads.

-Two criminal defacement reports were taken on Heritage Drive on April 1 near the intersection of Centennial and Dundee Roads. Vandals spray-painted graffiti on a utility box and a wooden structure, police said.

-Sean S. Pedersen, 27, of 9415 Rainsford Dr., Huntley, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited for speeding and failure to wear a seatbelt on March 31. Pedersen posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of May 13.
-Michael J. Schaefer, 35, of 2405 Park St., Rolling Meadows, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, driving with a suspended registration and driving while license suspended on March 28. Schaefer posted bond and was released with a Kane County court date of May 2.
-Jacqueline M. Doucet, 47, of 11417 E. Main St. #41, Huntley, was arrested for driving while license suspended and displaying a false insurance card and was cited for display of expired registration and no proof of insurance on March 28. Doucet posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of May 13.
-Jose Luis Gomez, 22, of 832 Adams St., Elgin, was arrested for displaying a fraudulent insurance card, possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license on person, and was cited for no front registration plate on March 29. Gomez posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of May 20.
