Police Blotter: DUI, Theft, Car Windows Smashed

Huntley police reports for Jan. 2 through Jan. 8.

 DUI

Elizabeth M. Espinoza, 23, 1977 Edmonds Ave., New Lenox, was arrested Jan. 2, on charges of two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Espinoza also was cited with failure to signal when required. Espinoza posted bond and was released pending a Feb. 10 appearance in McHenry County Court.

Police report Jan. 2 that unknown offenders threw bricks through the back windows of a car parked in the 10700 block of Shenandoah and another vehicle parked in the 10700 block of Grand Canyon.

Two criminal damage to vehicle reports were taken on Jan. 8, in the 10200 block of Fleetwood. The back windows of two vehicles were shattered while parked in driveways.

A criminal damage to property report was taken Jan. 8, in the 10400 block of Evandale Road. A window screen was damaged by an egg.

Theft

Police reported Jan. 2 that two landscaping bricks were stolen from a yard in the 10600 block of Wing Pointe Drive.

A student reported Jan. 5 that his iPod touch was stolen from a classroom at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road.

Trespassing

A trespassing complaint was taken Jan. 4, at a vacant residence in the 11700 block of Pineway Street.

Driving on Suspended License

Brian M. Ivy, 28, 5049 N. Ottawa Ave, Chicago, was arrested Jan. 4 on a charge of driving while license suspended. Ivy was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County Court on Jan. 27.

Terrence J. Allen, 27, 4525 Crab Orchard, Hoffman Estates, was arrested Jan. 4, on a charge of driving while license suspended. Allen also was cited with display of expired registration. Allen posted bond and was released with a McHenry County Court date of Feb. 17.

Outstanding Arrest Warrant

Michael D. Adler, 19, 27 Timber Hills, Crystal Lake, was arrested Jan. 6 on a McHenry County warrant for failure to appear in court. Adler posted bond and was released with a McHenry County Court date of Jan 13.

Skyler L. Basselen, 22, 6717 Linden Court, Huntley, was arrested Jan. 6, on a Cook County warrant for driving under the influence of alcohol. Basselen posted bond and was released pending a Jan. 25 Cook County Court appearance.

Emily A. Reinboldt, 24, 7131 Friisgard Vei, Waterford, Wis., was arrested Jan. 7 on charges of driving while license suspended and speeding. Reinboldt posted bond and was released pending a Feb. 17 McHenry County Court appearance.

All individuals listed as arrested or charged with a crime in this press release are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
