Here's a list of festivals and events your family can enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

The holiday weekend is in full swing and there's still lots to do to celebrate. Here's an updated list of family activities you can chose from around the region.
Happy Birthday, America at Brunswick (Free Bowling!)

Where/When: Brunswick Zone, 2075 E. Algonquin Road, Algonquin. July 1 – July 4, during open bowl hours – for hours visit www.brunswickzone.com or call 847-658-9200.
Why go: In celebration of Independence Day, all Brunswick Zones in America (including the Algonquin location) are giving away one free bowling game per person now through July 4. You can bowl a free game each day, for up to four free games!

Pricing: Free for the first game, no age restrictions.
Fourth of July Festivities
Where/When: North Commuter Lot, 201 Spring St., Barrington. Sunday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday July 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why go: Barrington goes all-out with Fourth festivities! The multitude of activities include live music, kid friendly games, a rock climbing wall, a brat tent with adult beverages, a fireworks display and a parade. For the entire schedule of events, visit www.barrington4thofjuly.com.
Pricing: Daytime (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.): $5 for kids for unlimited activities, hot dogs, chips and soda, adults free; nighttime (after 5 p.m.): $5 adults, $1 ages 14 – 17, under the age of 13 free
2011 Lakeside Fest
Where/When: Lakeside Park, 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake. Thursday, June 30 and Friday, July 1, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, July 2, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, July 3 and Monday, July 4, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Why go: The 32nd Annual Lakeside Festival benefits the Lakeside Legacy Foundation, which supports the arts, historic preservation and community programs. Enjoy live music, food, a carnival midway, an “adult beverage” garden, a baggo (bag toss) tournament and more. The Lakeside Legacy website has the full schedule of events and performances.
Pricing: $5 gate charge, $3 for seniors 65 years and up, free for active military and children ages 12 years old and under; free admission to the carnival midway.
Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade and Fireworks
Where/When: Sunday, July 3. Parade from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Lakeside Legacy Foundation at the Historic Dole Mansion, 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake. Fireworks at dusk at Lake Park, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake.
Why go: Enjoy a Sunday afternoon parade at the Lakeside Legacy Foundation at the Historic Dole Mansion, then fireworks at dusk at Lake Park.
Pricing: Parade free, fireworks admission at Main Beach is $2 per person or $10 per family, with parking free to residents or $5 for non-residents.
Naperville Ribfest/fireworks
Where/when: Naperville’s Knoch Park, 724 S. West St., Noon to 10 p.m. today to Monday; fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Monday.
Why go: Naperville's four-day festival features musical performances by REO Speedwagon, Styx, Montgomery Gentry and Phil Vassar, along with carnival rides and food, ending with spectacular fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on Independence Day. After 7:30 p.m. on July 4 access is free for those wishing to watch the fireworks.
