6 Hurt In Crash On Lake Shore Drive
A head-on crash near the Museum of Science and Industry sent six people to hospitals Sunday morning.
CHICAGO, IL - Six people were hurt in what police believe to be a head-on crash on Lake Shore Drive Sunday morning. The crash closed the southbound lanes near the Museum of Science and Industry for more than an hour.
Police say the driver of a 2008 Volkswagen Passat was southbound when it struck a Chevy Cruze at 3:51 a.m. near 59th Street in East Hyde Park. The Volkswagen rolled on its side and both passengers, a man and a woman, were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
The four occupants of the Chevy, three men and one woman, were all taken to Christ and Stroger hospitals in stable condition according to police.
