Body Found in Lake Michigan Identified as Missing Medical Student
The remains of Ambrose Monye were found over the weekend in the water at Promontory Point.

CHICAGO, IL - The body pulled from Lake Michigan at Promontory Point in Hyde Park over the weekend has been identified as Ambrose Monye, the 28-year-old missing medical student who was just weeks away from graduation.
The Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed the identity of Monye on Thursday, according to NBC-Chicago. No cause of death has been released.
Monye was a medical student at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico and was finishing up a clinical rotation at Jackson Park Hospital when he went missing in April. He was last seen walking toward the school’s John Crerar Library.
