Curtis Tarver II Wins Illinois State House District 25 Primary

Curtis Tarver II wins the Democratic nomination to succeed Barbara Flynn Currie as the Illinois State House District 25 representative.

CHICAGO, IL - Seven candidates sought the Democratic nomination in the Illinois State House District 25 election, with Curtis Tarver II taking the nomination with about 25 percent of the vote. The incumbent, Barbara Flynn Currie, did not seeking re-election. Currie has represented the district, which now covers Hyde Park and a majority of the southeast side of Chicago, since 1979.

Seeking the Democratic nomination to succeed Currie are Ana Guajardo Carrillo, Ebonie Davis, Angelique Collins, Tarver, Adrienne Irmer, Anne Marie Miles, Flynn Rush, William Calloway and Grace Chan McKibben.

Tarver is the candidate endorsed by the Chicago Tribune editorial board.

Anne Marie Miles: 9.12%
