Man Avoids Prison After Threatening to Kill White People at University of Chicago
Jabari Dean vowed to help rid the world of "white devils."

CHICAGO, IL - A 21-year-old man won’t spend any time behind bars for making a specific online threat that shut down the University of Chicago.
Jabari Dean must follow several conditions over the next 18 months including the performance of community service, and if he does a federal judge will drop the charges, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Last November, Dean made a threat on the website worldstarhiphop.com indicating his plans to go to the campus quad with a M-4 Carbine and 2 Desert Eagles and execute “16 white male students and or staff.”

The ‘16’ was made in reference to the number of shots Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke fired in killing LaQuan McDonald in 2014. Dean’s threats came during the height of media coverage on the shooting and after video of the incident was released by a judge’s order.
“I then will die killing any number of white policemen that I can in the process. This is not a joke. I am to do my part to rid the world of the white devils.”
The University of Chicago canceled classes in the wake of the threat, but no gun was found in Dean’s home.
