Residents Say Violent Crime Is Up In Hyde Park, But Cops Disagree

CHICAGO, IL - An ABC-7 report in Hyde Park indicates violent crime is on the rise in the city's Hyde Park neighborhood. The report points to an Easter morning shooting in nearby Kenwood and a few other reported armed robberies in recent days.

"We need to do something to convince people that resorting to violence to solve their problems is not the right way to go," one resident who lives on the same street as the reported shooting told ABC.
