Target to Hire 75 at Job Fairs in Hyde Park

CHICAGO, IL - Target will hold five job fairs seeking 75 new team members this month ahead of the company’s new store opening in Hyde Park in November.

Job fairs will be held on Thursday, Aug. 11, Friday, Aug. 12, Saturday, Aug. 13, Thursday, Aug. 18 and Friday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kenwood Academy High School, 5015 S. Blackstone Ave.

“Chicago is a priority market for Target, and we’re excited to build a talented team as we prepare for the November opening of Target’s flexible-format store in Hyde Park,” said Clevitta Scott, Target’s store team leader in Hyde Park. “We look forward to opening the doors of our Hyde Park store for the neighborhood this fall, and being part of the community with the addition of nearly 75 new jobs.”

Target is scheduled to open in the new Vue53 mixed-use development at 1346 E. 53rd Street when it opens to the public on Nov. 2. The Target will be one of the national retail chain’s new “flexible-format” stores, which allows for assortments to be tailored to meet the needs of the local audience. Other “flexible-format” stores in Chicago are on State Street, in Streeterville and Lincoln Park.
