Taser-Wielding Robber Steals Purse From Victim At Train Station
A person waiting for a Metra train in Hyde Park after midnight was robbed of a purse and cell phone.
CHICAGO, IL - A person was robbed by two people while waiting for a Metra train at the Hyde Park station just after midnight on Monday. University of Chicago police said the crime was reported at 12:10 a.m. at the platform located at 1541 E. Hyde Park Boulevard.
Two suspects, one armed with a Taser, approached the victim and demanded property before fleeing with the victim's cell phone and purse. They both fled on foot, according to police.
University police have turned the case over to the Chicago Police Department, who are investigating the crime.
