West Woodlawn Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 5 Hurt
Police told media outlets the shooter might have been inside a passing vehicle.

WEST WOODLAWN, CHICAGO — Six people were shot at a party in Chicago and one person is dead. Gunshots rang out around 1 a.m. Sunday on the 6400 block of Eberhart Avenue in the city's West Woodlawn neighborhood, multiple media outlets reported.
A 39-year-old man was shot multiple times and was declared dead at a local hospital, media outlets said. Five others were hospitalized and were reportedly in stable condition. The victims in the hospital included four men and a woman. They were expected to survive their injuries.
A 24-year-old man was shot in the leg; a bullet grazed the head of a 21-year-old man; a 24-year-old woman was shot in the arm; a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg; and a 19-year-old man shot was in the back, The Chicago Tribune reported.
