10,000 Will County Coronavirus Cases And Climbing
Will County's Health Department issued a news release announcing that Will County has surpassed 10,000 coronavirus cases so far in 2020.

JOLIET, IL — The Will County Health Department said there have been more than 10,000 new coronavirus cases here in Will County this year. Will County passed the 10,000 case mark over the weekend, adding 320 more cases since Friday, Aug. 14. The county also reported three more deaths since Friday, a man in his 60s, a woman in her 80s and a woman in her 90s.
As of Monday afternoon, Will County totaled 10,074 cases, according to health department spokesman Steve Brandy.
Of Will County's 352 coronavirus deaths, here is an age breakdown of those who died:

- 2 women at least 100 years old
- 54 people in their 90s: 42 women, 12 men
- 112 people in their 80s: 59 women, 53 men
- 81 people in their 70s: 44 men, 37 women
- 57 people in their 60s: 34 men, 23 women
- 31 people in their 50s: 21 men, 10 women
- 10 people in their 40s: 8 men, 2 women
- 3 people in their 30s: 2 women, 1 man
- 1 man in his 20s.
- 1 girl in her teens.
