14-Year-Old Girl Dies in I-55 Motorcycle Crash

Naperville girl was a passenger on her father's motorcycle.

A 14-year-old Naperville girl was killed in a motorcycle crash while riding with her father late Wednesday, police said.

Ashley Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on southbound I-55 near the I-355 viaduct, according to the Will County Coroner’s office.

Illinois State Police told ABC 7 Chicago that the girl and her 54-year-old father were riding at around 9:35 p.m. Wednesday when the motorcycle went down, hit the median and skidded along the shoulder of the road.

The father, who was cited for having an invalid license and no insurance, was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with non-life-threatening injuries, according to ABC.

The incident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
