2 Fighting Girls At Plainfield South Attack Detective, Staff: Cops
The Joliet Police Detective assigned to Plainfield South High School responded to the fight in the cafeteria involving the two girls.

JOLIET, IL — Two 15-year-old girls who attend Plainfield South High School are no longer attending their regular classes this week; they're now in detention at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center in St. Charles following a violent fight in the school cafeteria, according to Joliet police reports.
The girls are both being charged with mob action, aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer.
Monday's fight erupted at 11:10 a.m.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the following events took place:
The Joliet Police Detective assigned to Plainfield South High School, 7800 Caton Farm Road, responded to a fight in the cafeteria involving the two 15-year-old students.

The detective and a school campus monitor tried to stop the fight, and both students refused commands to stop fighting, English said. One of the girls kicked the campus monitor in the leg, he said, while the other struck the detective in the face. The detective and school officials were able to stop the fight and both girls were placed into custody without further incident.
Back on Sept. 11, Joliet Patch reported that the Joliet police made three disorderly conduct arrests at Plainfield South following a fight in the girls locker room during the school day.
