2 Killed In I-80 Wreck In Morris
Interstate 80 westbound at Ashton Road in Morris was the site of Friday evening's fatal crash that claimed at least two lives.

MORRIS, IL — Illinois State Police announced on Friday night that at least two people died as a result of a wreck involving a car and two trucks. The crash happened around 4:50 p.m. along the Grundy County stretch of Interstate 80 at Ashton Road in Grundy County near Morris.
The crash took the lives of a 33-year-old man from Elgin and his 26-year-old passenger, a man who was from Columbia.
Illinois State Police District 5 near Joliet said that troopers responded to I-80 in Morris for a multi-vehicle crash involving at least one passenger vehicle and two commercial motor vehicles.

ISP and state department of transportation employees are diverting I-80's westbound traffic at milepost 112 and eastbound traffic at milepost 105. Westbound I-80 remained closed until around 5 a.m. on Saturday.
