2 New Harley-Davidson Motorcycles For Joliet's Police Department?

JOLIET, IL — At next Tuesday night's Joliet City Council meeting, Joliet's elected officials will vote whether to purchase two Harley-Davidson motorcycles from Fox River Harley-Davidson in the amount of $56,688.

According to city manager Jim Capparelli's memo, the Mayor and City Council previously approved the 2023 City of Joliet Budget and included within the budget is funding for the purchase of two Harley-Davidson Motorcycles for the Police Department.

The Public Service Committee reviewed this memo at the May 1, meeting and recommended for approval by full Council, according to the city manager.

Capparelli noted that Fox River Harley-Davidson in St. Charles has been awarded the State of Illinois contract for purchases of this nature.

The State bid price will be utilized for this purchase as follows: $28,344.38 each for two Harley-Davidson motorcycles including upfit, license & title, delivery, training, etc.
