2 Shot In Pilcher Park: Joliet PD
An investigation into the shooting was in its early stages, according to police.

JOLIET, IL — Two people were struck by gunfire in Pilcher Park, Joliet police said Thursday afternoon. The victims were being treated at an area hospital.
In a social media alert describing the shooting as an "active incident," police said, "This is the beginning (of an) active investigation as Joliet Detectives are gathering information as to what happened."

The shooting is the second in the Joliet area in as many days. On Wednesday night, Will County Sheriff's deputies were investigating a shooting in the Preston Heights area of Joliet Township. The victim, a 19-year-old man who was shot while sitting in his vehicle, has since died, police said Thursday. Officials were also seeking video related to that incident.
