JOLIET, IL — Joliet's 22nd annual Light Up the Holiday Festival and Parade occurred Friday night and there was another huge turnout for the occasion. The University of St. Francis was the presenting sponsor. At 5:15 p.m., Mayor Bob O'Dekirk invited 3-year-old Caden Evans to the stage to flip the switch to turn on the decorative lights for the giant Christmas tree at downtown's Van Buren Plaza.

Besides the mayor, the city was represented by Councilmen Don "Duck" Dickinson, Mike Turk, Larry Hug, Pat Mudron and Jan Quillman.

Because Friday marked the city's 22nd annual event, Joliet Patch opted to showcase 22 different photos from the parade.
