2nd Day In Row: Big Crash I-55, Lorenzo Road

WILMINGTON, IL — On Friday afternoon there was another multiple vehicle crash along the northbound stretch of I-55 and Lorenzo Road. The Illinois State Police reported at 2:15 p.m. that state troopers were on the scene of a crash involving three cars. No injuries were reported but the right lane was shut down.

Late Thursday morning, the Illinois State Police investigated a crash in the same area involving three semis and two cars, a crash that resulted in the death of a man from Missouri.

By 3 p.m. Friday, the Illinois State Police announced that all the lanes were now reopened and the damaged vehicles have been moved to the side of the roadway.
