4 Loaded Guns Seized After Joliet Intersection Shooting: JPD
On Sunday afternoon, gunshots were fired on Garnsey Avenue and Ohio Street. Joliet police found numerous spent shell casings in the street.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police arrested 20-year-old Jesus Solis-Vasquez and three of his much younger teenage friends after the carload of friends carried out a Sunday afternoon shooting near the intersection of Ohio Street and Garnsey Avenue on Joliet's east side.
"It is believed that Solis-Vasquez and the 17-year-old male fired their handguns near Garnsey Street and Ohio Street," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced.
Joliet police say Solis-Vasquez was booked into the Will County Jail on charges of reckless discharge of a gun, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition, no FOID and marijuana possession.

On Monday, a Will County judge set bail at $150,000 for Solis-Vasquez, who lives in proximity to Sunday's daytime shooting. He comes from the 500 block of Herkimer Street.
According to English, the following events took place on Sunday afternoon, leading to the arrests of Solis-Vasquez, a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old:

Around 2:445 p.m., gunshots were fired and Joliet police found several spent shell casings in the street. Nobody was hurt, and no buildings were hit by the gunfire.
The getaway vehicle was identified as a Chevrolet Colorado and four males were pulled over near Columbia Street and Herkimer Street.
Joliet police made everyone get out of the vehicle, and the 15-year-old had a loaded 9 mm gun in his pants.
The 17-year-old boy had a loaded gun in his pants. A .40-caliber gun was found under the driver's seat where Solis-Vasquez sat and a loaded 9 mm gun was under the seat of the 16-year-old boy.
Joliet police also found marijuana inside the vehicle belonging to Solis-Vasquez.
Police said the 17-year-old boy was taken to the River Valley Justice Center on charges of reckless discharge of a gun, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition and No FOID.
The 16-year-old was taken to the River Valley Justice Center and his charges are aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, defacing the identification mark of a gun, unlawful possession of ammunition and having No FOID.
The 15-year-old boy was also brought to River Valley on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition and No FOID.
