4 Tires Slashed By Joliet Man Vowing To Kill Several People: JPD
Adrian Ortiz-Alcantar used the knife to flatten all four tires and scratch the hood of a vehicle, according to Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL — A 27-year-old east-side man remains in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Adrian Ortiz-Alcantar went outside during a disturbance and slashed four tires of someone he knows. He also threatened to kill several people who were in his presence during the overnight hours of 2:30 a.m. Feb. 14 in the 100 block of Arizona Avenue, Joliet police reports show.
After spending 10 days at St. Joe's hospital undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, Ortiz was discharged on Thursday and booked into the Will County Jail on charges of criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.

- Officers learned that Ortiz-Alcantar had damaged a vehicle and threatened others at the home after becoming upset with people in the house.
- He exited the home with a knife and used the knife to flatten all four tires and scratch the hood of a vehicle.
- Afterward, Ortiz-Alcantar threatened to kill several people when they attempted to intervene.
- When Ortiz-Alcantar was taken into custody, officers recovered the knife he used.
Joliet say Ortiz-Alcantar lives in the 100 block of Arizona Avenue where the arrest happened. Will County Jail records listed him residing in Lockport on West Oak Avenue. On Sunday, he remained in custody unable to post 10 percent of his $5,000 bail.
