49 Lawyers In Hunt To Be Next Will County Associate Judge

JOLIET, IL - On Tuesday, a number of sharp dressed Will County attorneys were hanging around the hallway in front of the fourth floor office of Will County Chief Judge Richard Schoenstedt. That's because they were waiting their turn to be interviewed by the sitting panel of Will County judges. Will County's Courthouse is in the process of selecting a replacement for Associate Judge Robert Brumund, who is retiring from the bench effective next month. Being a judge in Will County is one of the most powerful, and best paid public sector jobs available around Will County.

According to the Illinois Courts website, here is the salary breakdown in Illinois for its judges: "Effective July 1, 2017, judicial salaries, as determined by the legislature, were: Supreme Court Justices, $229,345; Appellate Court Justices, $215,856; Circuit Court Judges, $198,075; and Associate Judges, $188,171."

Comments from the public regarding the 49 candidates listed below are still being accepted, according to a press release issued by Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court of Will County.
