5 Joliet Liquor Stores Fail Compliance Checks
The Illinois Liquor Control Commission said the businesses sold alcohol to minors.

Five Joliet businesses were cited last week for selling liquor to minors under age 21 after an Illinois Liquor Control Commission compliance check.
The commission conducted compliance checks at 16 Joliet liquor stores on Thursday, Oct. 9.
Five businesses failed the check, with two facing a second offense:

- Stang Kelly, 712 Jefferson St. (second offense)
- Hammers Sports Bar, 2771 Black Rd. (second offense)
- JM Tobacco And Liquor, 3111 Theodore St.
- Liquor Express, 1415 Plainfield Rd.
- Consumer Food & Liquor, 1134 Plainfield Rd.
The remaining 11 businesses, seven of which had prior offenses, passed the checks, according to the liquor commission.
