- . The Slovanian Grape Harvest Festival will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph Park Hall, 416 N. Chicago St. in Joliet. Doors open at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10. Children 10 and under are free.
- HEALTHY SENIORS. has partnered up with the Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau for a vendor fair and a variety of activities promoting health, wellness, and quality of life for seniors. The Forever Young Senior Walk goes from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
- . will host a low-cost pet vaccination clinic beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 815-257-0234.
- on Houbolt Road is hosting a touch-a-truck event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. In addition to getting to climb on and learn about large vehicles, boys and girls, ages 8 to 13, can also participate in the Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge at the event. As part of the soccer challenge, kids will compete in a series of drills to improve their soccer skills. The Y’s Touch-a-Truck event is weather dependent, and residents are encouraged to call ahead if inclement weather exists. Admission is free. - . Thayer's 158 North and Gallery 7 have partnered up to host a 50's themed event. For $45, guests have dinner at Thayer's followed by dessert, wine beer, soft drinks and dancing at Gallery 7. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Call Donna Nevels at 708-301-3388 for more information.
