5 Vehicles Collide In Joliet Along Interstate 80, Near I-55, Illinois State Police On Scene

JOLIET, IL — The Illinois State Police announced that a total of five vehicles were involved in Thursday's crash in Joliet along Interstate 80 eastbound at the Interstate 55 interchange. It all happened at 7:48 a.m.

The Illinois State Police said that troopers responded to the location for the report of a five-vehicle crash involving a commercial motor vehicle.

All lanes are closed due to the crash with reported diesel fuel on the ground in the area. The crash investigation is in its infancy and there is no further information available at this time, the agency noted.
