7-Eleven Armed Robbery In Joliet: Robber Escapes With Cash

Monday's robbery happened at the 7-Eleven along Larkin Avenue near McDonough Street.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police say the 7-Eleven store was robbed Monday night by a gunman who demanded money from the cash register after displaying his gun.

The robbery happened around 8:35 p.m. at 325 South Larkin Ave. Joliet police say a man entered the store and tried to purchase beer. During the purchase, he pulled out a gun and told the 7-Eleven employee to give him money from the register.

The robber got away with the money and nobody was hurt.

Joliet police said the robber was a 6-foot-2 Black man with a heavy build, he wore a ski mask, beige jacket, black shirt, blue jeans and red shoes.
