Joliet Fire On Far West Side Near Black Road Damages House
Saturday's house fire broke out along Addleman Street near Interstate 55 in Joliet's Beaver Creek subdivision.

JOLIET, IL — Everyone inside a Joliet house on the city's far west side at 1100 Addleman Street escaped safely during Saturday afternoon's major house fire, according to Joliet's Fire Department.
Battalion Chief Matt Baxter informed Joliet Patch of the following events:
- Around 2:45 p.m. Joliet's Fire Department was notified of the house fire and fire crews from stations 5, 6, 7 8 and 9 encountered heavy smoke and fire coming from the garage roof and from inside the house.
- Extensive damage was done to the attached garage and attic of the home.
- Joliet's firefighters were on the scene for at least an hour.
- Joliet fire investigators were on the scene to determine how the fire started.
