Hometown:Joliet

Hero's job: Education

Relationship to nominee: My daughters kindergarten teacher

Reason for recognition: When the pandemic started and caused the schools to switch to remote learning Ms. Hackworth went above and beyond by video calling my daughter personally everyday to do her work with her so that I could watch my 2-year-old and so my daughter wouldn't fall.

One thing to know: She's an amazing teacher and an even better person and has been an integral part of the education of 2 of my children and without her we wouldn't have gotten through the year.

Thank you for all you do, Kelsey Hackworth!
