JOLIET, IL — For at least the fourth time in her life, 45-year-old Joliet resident Stacey Guerrero-Gonzalez finds herself detained in the Will County Jail, this time in connection with allegations of domestic violence.
Joliet police say they arrested Guerrero on Wednesday night and booked her into the Will County Jail on two counts of
domestic battery and one count of domestic battery to a victim over 60 years of age.
According to police spokesman Tizoc Landeros, Joliet officers responded around 11 p.m. to the 500 block of Ward Street for a report of a domestic battery. The officers spoke with one of the female victims, a 66-year-old resident of Joliet, who alleged that Guerrero-Gonzalez pulled her to the floor by her hair. A second female victim, a 21-year-old resident of Joliet, alleged that Guerrero-Gonzalez struck her body and bit her pinky finger.
Landeros said the officers saw injuries on the second victim that were consistent with her account of the incident. Both victims refused medical attention. Officers also spoke with Guerrero-Gonzalez, who denied the allegations.
