JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department announced that a 28-year-old Joliet man, Kelvyn Flores Calvillo, was taken to St. Joe's Hospital after a Friday night incident at the McDonald's restaurant at 2885 Plainfield Road. After his release, Flores Calvillo was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 10:28 p.m., officers responded to the McDonald’s for a report of an unwanted man causing a disturbance in the parking lot. He said the officers encountered an intoxicated male, later identified as Flores Calvillo, walking through the drive-thru lane while yelling and creating a disturbance.
English said Flores Calvillo had been stopping vehicles in the drive-thru, knocking on windows and attempting to provoke fights with customers.
When officers attempted to take Flores Calvillo into custody, English said he tried to run off but fell to the ground. Officers caught up to him and took him into custody following a brief struggle, English said.
Due to injuries sustained during the fall, the Joliet Fire Department responded and brought Flores Calvillo to Saint Joseph Medical Center for treatment. While awaiting the
ambulance at the scene, Flores Calvillo is accused of kicking an officer, the arrest report noted.
Following his release from the hospital, he was processed at the Joliet Police Department and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
