JOLIET, IL — Joliet residents looking to get a taste of summer can now find it at Rich & Creamy, which announced Wednesday that it was open for the season.
The old-school ice cream stand opened last year in March, but in a social media post in April of this year, the business said it hoped to open in May. A follow-up post earlier this month said opening day would arrive in the coming weeks.
Located at 920 N. Broadway St., Rich & Creamy has been serving up cones, floats, shakes and sundaes for decades to Route 66 tourists and Joliet natives alike.
This season’s hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-10 p.m. Sunday.
