Houbolt Road Set For Overnight Roadwork, Expect Flaggers And Single-Lane Traffic: City

The work is set to take place in the overnight hours Friday, June 26 into Saturday, June 27, the City said.

JOLIET, IL — Overnight repairs are set to take place on Houbolt Road Friday, June 26 into Saturday, June 27, the City said Friday morning.

Between 1 and 2 a.m. Saturday, June 27, crews will perform targeted grinding operations to address pavement distress in the area, the City said.

Flaggers will be directing traffic through the construction zone. While Houbolt Road will remain open, temporary delays and single-lane traffic should be expected.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use caution, and follow all instructions from onsite personnel.

The repairs were scheduled during overnight hours to minimize traffic impacts and improve roadway safety as efficiently as possible, the City said.
