JOLIET, IL — A 19-year-old Joliet woman remains in the Will County Jail in connection with her domestic battery arrest over the weekend.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 8:52 p.m. on Sunday, the officers responded to an apartment in the 1500 block of Woodbridge Road for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, English said the officers learned that during disturbance, it is alleged that Brianna Stapleton pushed
her grandmother with a laundry basket, causing the victim to stumble backward.
Stapleton remained at the residence and was taken into custody without incident. She was charged with
domestic battery and aggravated battery. Stapleton was processed and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility pending her first court appearance.
