Police spokesman Dwayne English said the officers responded to the Super 8 Motel at 1806 McDonough for a report of an unwanted person who had returned to the property after previously being told to leave.

He said the officers found Villarraga in the motel parking lot.
Villarraga had previously been advised she was not permitted on the property and allegedly disregarded repeated instructions and began walking toward the motel entrance.

"As an officer attempted to take Villarraga into custody, she allegedly pulled her arm away and raised a clenched hand toward the officer," English said. "The officer then took Villarraga to the ground, where she allegedly kicked the officer multiple times in the face and attempted to bite his hands.

Additional officers arrived and assisted in taking Villarraga into custody.

Will County Jail logs list Villarraga as being from Cincinnati, Ohio. She remained in the jail on Thursday before her afternoon hearing in Courtroom 202 of Judge Donald DeWilkins.
