City of Joliet Recognizes 2026 Neighborhood Hero Award Winners

JOLIET, IL — The City of Joliet is proud to announce the 2026 Neighborhood Hero Award winners, recognizing 19 residential properties for outstanding landscaping, property maintenance, and curb appeal.

The Neighborhood Hero Award program recognizes residents who demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining and enhancing their properties, contributing to the appearance,
character, and overall quality of Joliet's neighborhoods.

"Taking pride in where you live has an impact that extends well beyond your own front yard," said Mayor Terry D'Arcy. "These residents are helping make their neighborhoods more
welcoming and beautiful, and we're proud to recognize the time, effort, and care they put into their homes and our community."

The 2026 Neighborhood Hero Award recipients received a commemorative yard sign and were recognized at the September 1 Joliet City Council Meeting.
