Lindsay Rozner's Threatening Message Said 'She Was Going To Kill Her Sisters And Not With Kindness:' Relative

WILMINGTON, IL — An out of state family member of 40-year-old Wilmington and Crest Hill resident Lindsay Rozner informed Joliet Patch that they were responsible for last weekend's Wilmington community Facebook group post that led to her Sunday night arrest by Wilmington police.

The Will County Jail indicates Rozner has 21 pending charges in Will County alone.

The family member reached out to Joliet Patch to share additional information about Rozner and her criminal history to let people know she is dangerous and needs to be dealt with accordingly by the Will County judicial system.

"Lindsay had left a threatening message on my voicemail yesterday morning saying she was going to kill her sisters and not with kindness," the relative informed Joliet Patch. "A friend told me he saw her in Wilmington at Oz fest. I decided to take a stab and see if anyone knew where she was and posted a copy of her warrant. I got dozens of messages about her and the post quickly exploded with comments about some of the crazy stuff she had done over the past couple days.

"Someone messaged me saying she was staying at the Van Duyne motel and that he called Wilmington police and reported her location. Once I saw she was arrested I deleted the post because I did not want it to be a gossip forum. It was a last-ditch effort after reaching out to her probation officer for months telling him about her behaviors and what she had been saying. She had asked her cousin for a firearms and a vehicle not registered in her name and they basically blew me off each time. I was concerned for the safety of the community, her sisters, one lives in Plainfield still, and Lindsay as well."

According to the family member, Rozner was on pre-trial release from Will County and had two ankle monitors, SCRAM and GPS, with a nighttime curfew. After her apartment in Crest Hill caught fire on August 9, "she took off to Grundy County area and let her ankle monitors go dead. She missed court in Will County and then Kankakee County. Lindsay had been walking into stranger's homes in Godley and South Wilmington. One woman said she walked in and yelled 'surprise' and woke her up. Another messaged me and said she tried to walk in their home and then pulled down her pants and peed in their front yard in front of their kids. Lindsay had been asking people for a ride to the airport so she could fly to Georgia. Her family is relieved that she was finally caught and just hopes that this time the court won't release her. She cannot be left to her own devices. She just keeps adding more cases and making it worse for herself ... The Illinois SAFE-T Act is crazy because it allows people like her with substance abuse issues to continue to rack up charges. Lindsay was literally calling them all petty crimes because she said they only gave her traffic citations and released her, comparing all the charges to traffic tickets because she kept getting out..."

Rozner remains in the Will County Jail and her next hearing at the courthouse is set for Wednesday morning in Courtroom 401.
