The Chicago Blues Angels play Rock & Roll, Blues, American Roots Music, Rockabilly and more with a whole lotta' Soul. Armando Cortez, founded the band in 1999, having shared the stage with such noted performers as Kid Ramos, Kim Wilson, Nick Moss, BB King, Nick Curran, Lou Rawls, & many others.
Kid Ramos is a legendary electric blues guitarist & songwriter. He's worked with James Harman, Roomful of Blues, the Big Rhythm Combo, and was in The Fabulous Thunderbirds from 1993 to 2002. He won the OC Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award after he beat cancer in 2014. He has also produced an award winning documentary about blues piano icon Floyd Dixon.
Kid's son Johnny Ramos is an up and coming blues and rock n roll singer, and actor. He's featured on the new gospel album, and has released his own album, a fusion of roots, rock n roll and blues titled "DooWop DeathBoy."
Just $17 General Public & $15 Museum Members. General seating for all, with limited amount of reserved tables for 2, 4, or 6 available. Doors open 6:15 pm, show starts 7pm. Beverages (Soda, beer, wine, mixers, water) snacks available, free access to all Museum galleries.
