Take Back the Night is a powerful symbol of empowerment for women, men, and children. The event brings together survivors and community members of all races, cultures, backgrounds, and experiences to combine the strength of their voices in a collective declaration that violence must
end. It reinforces the message that survivors are not alone and that every individual deserves safety, respect and support.

"Nichole Pasteris and our team exemplify the compassion, dedication, and commitment it takes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of victims of domestic violence and their families. Her work reflects the importance of listening to survivors, standing beside them during their most difficult moments, and helping them find the strength and resources to move forward. We must continue to stand together as a community to ensure that every victim is treated with dignity, every family has access to support, and every survivor knows they are not alone. Nichole's recognition at Take Back the Night is a fitting tribute to her outstanding service and to the collective effort needed to end violence in our communities," said Will County State's Attorney James W. Glasgow.

Will County Take Back the Night also raises funds for local agencies that assist women and their families. Donations provide financial assistance to nonprofit organizations working directly with women and children whose lives have been affected by violence.
