WILL COUNTY, IL — Regardless of whether you were an incumbent or a challenger, if you were running for Will County office and had the word "Republican" attached to your name, you were soundly defeated by your Democratic opponent in Tuesday's general election, according to the unofficial totals.

Democrat voters, possibly thanks to all the No Kings rallies against President Donald Trump, were eager and motivated to vote, while Republicans around Will County just did not share the same voter enthusiasm as people struggle financially thanks to inflation and exorbitant gasoline prices at the pump, with the highest gasoline prices ever recorded for an election day.
