
Charles Glenn "Charlie" Pruitte, 61, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, June 21, 2012.
He leaves behind family and friends to celebrate his life. Charles was born on July 11, 1950 In Jackson, TN to L.B. Pruitte and Celeste Heath (beloved Stepfather), Amos Heath Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Charles was graduate of Joliet Central High School. He then began his career in 1969 at Local 75 where he became a member and officer. He retired from Local 75 in 2002.

He was preceded in death by a loving stepfather and grandparents.
Charles leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Constance Pruitte; mother, Celeste Heath; son, Charles Pruitte; three sisters, Shirley (Jack) Shepard; Patricia (Eric) Jenkins and Theresa (Derrick) Johnson and seven brothers, Lars (Margaret) Pruitte Sr.; Jerome (Shirley) Pruitte; Rev. Adrian (Rose) Heath, Amos (Minnie) Heath; Gregory (Kimberly) Heath; Deacon Matthew (Rhonda) Heath and Timothy (JoAnn) Heath; and half-siblings, Gail Hogue and Kim Pruitte; stepson, Reginald Grant and step-daughters, Deidre Grant and Monica Frieson. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, grandchildren and devoted cousin, Jerry Curry.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the funeral home and Thursday, June 28, 2012 10:00-11:00 am at Shiloh Baptist Church, 18101 Oak Ave., Lockport, IL. Service at 11:00 am, Pastor Richard D. House, officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
