John Albright Obituary

John H. Albright, age 73, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army.

Preceded in death by his father, Herschell Albright, and his mother, Florence Albright Erickson; one brother, William Albright; two sisters, Avonne (late, Raymond) Heintz and Alice (late, Roger) Gagnon.

Survived by two sisters, Shirley Gleason and Geraldine Peterson; sister-in-law, Ruth Albright of Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service. John was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School, class of 1956.

A Memorial Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home 1500 Black Rd. from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial service will begin at 7:15 p.m. on Monday evening. Inurnment will be Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery on Tuesday morning at 10:15 a.m.
