Barbecue is many things to many people. Coming from Kansas City, where barbecue is an essential part of the culture, Ron and JoAnn Rupp knew all of the things that barbecue could be. While it is first and foremost a style of cooking and one of the healthiest ways to prepare delicious cuts of meat, it is also a place for friends and family to gather, a way to support your local sports team, a celebration, a competition, and most importantly, a part of the community.
Considering their love of barbecue and their more than 40 years combined experience in the restaurant and ingredient industries, it seemed fated that Ron and JoAnn would establish rQ! Barbecue. Ron has long been a master of the barbecue pit, making his own rubs and sauces, while JoAnn has always had a passion for healthy cooking and fresh ingredients.
