Wildlife Control Program Offered by Joliet Township Animal Control Center

Joliet Township Animal Control Center has a Trapping Program available to all City of Joliet residents to assist in the control of feral cats, opossum, raccoon, skunk, groundhog and squirrel.

Residents currently facing a problem with any of these animals are encouraged to contact the Joliet Township Animal Control Center for assistance during their regular business hours at 815- 725-0333.

The Joliet Township Animal Control Center is located at 2807 McDonough Street, Joliet, IL 60436. Offices are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM and Wednesday 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Fees associated with the animal control service are as follows:

  • Trap Usage Fee and Deposit: $150.00 ($100 Refunded upon return of trap)
  • Additional Set Trap Fee: $25.00 (Animal Control delivers, baits, and sets trap)

Please note that Senior Citizens, those 65 years of age and older, are exempt from the usage or set trap fee; however, they are required to pay the $100.00 refundable deposit.

Residents are encouraged to call ahead to make pick-up arrangements as there are limited traps available. Call Joliet Township Animal Control Center at 815-725-0333.
