The site is accessible from a private access road that runs north and south between the Walmart parking lot and the outlots along Route 59.

JOLIET, IL — If you like to wash your vehicle a lot, but feel it's too hard to find a car wash in Joliet that doesn't have a line that is 10 vehicles deep, then your luck may be changing for the better.
On Tuesday night, the Joliet City Council will meet and consider a recommendation from new city manager Beth Beatty suggesting that a special use permit be granted to allow construction of the Tidal Wave Auto Spa, a new automatic car wash on an undeveloped lot at 1351 Route 59.
According to city staff reports, Tidal Wave Auto Spa is a conveyor car wash company with over 180 locations through the United States. The proposed use at 1351 Route 59 includes a car wash building and vacuum stall area and will have approximately three onsite employees. The proposed hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
