Another Plainfield South Fight: Joliet Police Make Arrest

The 16-year-old boy who started the fight is now at the Kendall County Juvenile Justice Center.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police officers removed a 16-year-old Plainfield South student from school property Thursday following a fight in the school cafeteria. The boy has been charged with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct.

Around 11:30 a.m., the Joliet police detective assigned to Plainfield South learned of a fight in the cafeteria. The 16-year-old boy approached another 16-year-old boy "and began striking him in the face with a closed fist multiple times," Joliet police announced.

Staff members at Plainfield South got involved and broke up the fight.

The boy who started the fight was then taken into custody by Joliet police. He is now at the Kendall County Juvenile Justice Center facing his two criminal charges.

The victim received minor injuries from the fight, police said.
