Another Stick Up At This Joliet 7-Eleven Store
Wednesday's armed robbery happened at the Joliet 7-Eleven at Larkin Avenue and McDonough Street.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet 7-Eleven store at 325 South Larkin Ave. is on pace to shatter the city's record for the most armed robberies if the current trend continues. For the second time in three nights, the 7-Eleven was robbed by a gunman, according to Joliet police.
Wednesday's crime happened at 7:14 p.m.
Joliet police say a man entered the store and displayed a handgun, demanding money from the cash register. He then stole a carton of cigarettes and fled the area.

One Joliet 7-Eleven employee insisted that Wednesday's latest crime was "an attempted armed robbery, not an armed robbery." The employee also stressed that in Wednesday's crime, the perpetrator did not steal any cash.
In both crimes, nobody was hurt.
"Any connection between the two incidents is still under investigation," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced Thursday.
