Antonio "Tony" G. Rosado, Jr. Obituary

Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather

Passed away peacefully at his residence, Sunday, April 16, 2023. Age 81 years.

Survived by his wife of 54 years Dolores “Lolly” Rosado (nee Campus). Two sons Robert (Stephanie) Rosado and Joseph (Lynn) Rosado. Six grandchildren Abby, Lily, Emmy, Kaly, Ty and Izzy. Five sisters Antonia, Carmen Maria, Maria Antonia, Migdalin and Vilma Esther. Two brothers Alberto and Cesar. His special nieces and nephews Lucy, Helen, Irene, Angie, Johnny and Tony Cruz. Also survived by many additional nieces and nephews in Puerto Rico.

Preceded in death by his parents Antonio G. Rosado, Sr. and Carmen Gonzalez. Two sisters JoseFina and Angelica. Three brothers Raul, Luis and Carmelo. His special uncle Lino Gonzalez.

Tony was born in Puerto Rico on May 15, 1941. He came to Illinois in 1961 working for Campbell Soup Mushroom Farm in West Chicago retiring after 36 years. Tony was always helping his coworkers as an interpreter at work, to their doctors’ visits and emergency visits to Central DuPage Hospital. Following his retirement Tony worked for Tessone Motors, Mistwood Golf Course, Toys-R-us and was a school crossing guard for the Joliet Public Schools. Tony enjoyed his participation in the Joliet Police and Fire Citizens Academy to experience his sons careers in both services. Together with his wife, Tony enjoyed numerous vacations with their friends. As a youth, Tony fished and hunted for crabs with his father and brothers in Puerto Rico.

Memorial services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Friday, April 21th at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
