ATF: Joliet Woman Made Unlawful Gun Purchases By Lockport, Shorewood

ATF Special Agent Jesus Jimenez obtained an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Amanda Rademacher, who lives in the 500 block of Bluff Street.

JOLIET, IL — The ATF has obtained a warrant to arrest 29-year-old Joliet resident Amanda Rademacher in connection with allegations that Rademacher made multiple unlawful purchases of guns and rifles around the Joliet area last year.

In Will County, Rademacher is being charged with two counts of unlawful purchase of a firearm and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

According to the ATF's criminal complaint:

Rademacher bought a Glock .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol at Rink's Gun and Sport in unincorporated Lockport last Sept. 1 after having "intentionally provided false or misleading information on a United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives firearms transaction records form."

The ATF indicates that the Joliet woman answered "No" to the question "Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug or any other controlled substance?"

Back on March 22, 2022, Rademacher purchased a Palmetto State Armory PA15 rifle in Shorewood at the Range USA on the Northeast Frontage Road, and she also provided false or misleading information to the same ATF question, her complaint stated.

Rademacher's three other felony charges of unlawful possession of a firearm state that between March 1 until Dec. 13, 2022, Rademacher, "who is a narcotic addict," knowingly possessed a Glock 48 handgun, a Taurus G2C handgun and a Glock 21 handgun.

So far, Rademacher has not been taken into custody by authorities in Will County.

ATF special agent Jesus Jimenez notified court officials that he wants to be notified once Rademacher is arrested. She comes from the 500 block of Bluff Street, court documents show.

The Will County Sheriff's Office warrants website does not have her case entered into its online database, so no mugshot is available.

She is white, with brown hair, blue eyes, stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 180 pounds, according to her arrest warrant.

Will County Judge Art Smigielski has set the Joliet woman's bail at $50,000.
